tonight i am starting a series that will go three weeks and flow thru sunday. i have titled this series ‘the human factor’. there are so many factors that make a difference in who we become and the one we tend to overlook the most is the fact that we are human! the one thing that separates us from anything else is our humanity. so, tonight we will take a look at the organ that makes decisions, causes us to react and respond to life. if you did not have one, then you would cease to be human. the human mind weighs approx. 3 lbs and in some lives some may think they got cheated on the amount of brain matter in their skull. the brain of a cat weighs 1.5 ounces and some cats seem to be smarter than a few humans i have ran into. ouch!
what’s in the mind of a teenager? tonight we are going to challenge them to shape their minds in a positive way this summer. our goal is to motivate them to create some memories by wrapping their minds around what God is doing! God is moving and wants to get close to our kids…it’s our job to create moments for them to grow as individuals.
a mind is a terrible thing to waste!
