what am i eating…
breakfast: Ezekiel bread with olive oil butter, oatmeal with pure maple syrup, fruit, and plain flax flakes raisins and silk…yummy.
lunch: peanuts, salad with oil and vinegar, blue corn chips, salsa, baked potato, soups and many days not much of anything…feeling empty.
dinner: vegetable gumbo, whole wheat spinach noodles and sauce, eggplant, zucchini, potatoes, tofurkey in split pea soup…not bad!
how am i feeling…heart burn, gas, bloated…spent a weekend with stomach flu…light!
what am i learning…to suffer my flesh and not complain about “i wish this was over.” this is truly a good fast for my physical well being as well as my spiritual life. i have woke up in the middle of the night several times with such clarity of thought and purpose. i am more hungry the beginning of this year than the close of last year. i am going through some trials, yet i know that the breakthrough is on the way!
