S – scripture
For the sake of his great name the Lord will not reject his people, because the Lord was pleased to make you his own. (1 Samuel 12:22 NIV)
O – observation
This section was a reminder from Samuel to Israel to remain faithful to God, to serve him and not follow idols. He confronts them with all the bad choices they made, yet GRACE is found right here. We are all in need of a savior. For his great name sake, he will not discard the children of God. Grace is alive and well and available.
A – application
Rejection is the plan of the enemy. If he can get me to focus on my short falls then I will miss the net of Grace that will catch my fall and save my life. Grace is what causes me to fall in love with my Jesus more and more. I am so moved by the fact that his grace is rich, real and for right Now!
P – prayer
Lord I am so moved by your love for your people. For your great name sake you have chosen to not reject those that so often reject you. May I embrace a greater understanding of your grace and be motivated by live to serve you with all my heart, mind, soul and strength.
