The unselfish Leader #DIETOSELFIE

S – scripture

Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit. Rather, in humility value others above yourselves, not looking to your own interests but each of you to the interests of the others. (Philippians 2:3, 4 NIV)

O – observation

It’s easy to get the big head…but Paul is encouraging the church to have the selfless mindset of Christ.  It’s too easy to fix your focus on SELF.  we do it so often.  Why not focus on someone else and their interests. .

A – application

Too many leaders look out for number one, their growth, their time, their interests…and how they look successful. When a leader makes it all about their interests and their desires, then it’s easy to do ministry out of selfish ambitions. The best way to fight this disposition of being selfish is to simply serve. To simply consider others interests higher than yours. Hey leader…It’s not always about you and your success, when you elevate others in humility you in turn will find success. Find someone today that I can show unselfish restraint on.  Find someone who I can elevate their interests over mine.  The daily grind shows what type of person I am, may I have the same attitude of Christ.  May I be marked by His love.

P – prayer

Lord help me to see the needs of others over mine. Help me to live a selfless life.  Help me to see your hand working thru my valuing others interests. #DIETOSELFIE
