To the pure, all things are pure, but to those who are corrupted and do not believe, nothing is pure. In fact, both their minds and consciences are corrupted. They claim to know God, but by their actions they deny him. They are detestable, disobedient and unfit for doing anything good. (Titus 1:15, 16 NIV)
Simply because they claim to know God, that does not make them fit to do good works.
The Cretans claimed to know God, but their cations disqualified their claims. What you claim to know must be lived out each day by what you choose to do.
Their actions prove whether they believe or not.The Cretans vs 12 their prophet said they are always liars, evil brutes lazy gluttons. Our choices are impacted by who we know, and if we know Christ then we will choose to be pure.
My belief determines my actions and my lack of belief is displayed by my actions. If I believe in a supernatural God, then I should be living out that belief. If I believe in a god that says be holy, then what I choose to do is shaped by who I know, not by what I know the person has done for me. Grace is not cheap, so if I claim to know Christ then my actions must line up with who I know, or they will deny my claims.
Actions speak louder than words.
Lord may my actions and my words be one and the same. My passion and my purpose be fueled by my relationship with you. May my choices b prompted by relationship and not the grace you provided on the Cross.
