Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart Be acceptable in Your sight, O LORD, my strength and my Redeemer. (Psalms 19:14 NKJV)
The strength of an individual can be heard by the words one speaks…some make great boasts. Some sound very wise…but what truly matters is that our strength is Found in the Lord. When we line our words and thoughts up with God’s, we find great strength not in what we say or what we think, but who God is.
A – application
The true measure of strength is not found in what we say or think it’s found in our source. When the lord is the center of our thoughts and words He will be greater. We need to measure our words and thoughts not by our position, title or the measure of influence we have…our words and thoughts need to be measured by how acceptable they are to Christ. Basically…don’t be so full of yourself that you miss the a Fact that Christ lives in you.
Lord help me to be humble. Help me to rely on you. Help me to see how great you are…but mostly help me to monitor my words and thoughts that they may be acceptable to you!
