“This is a faithful saying and worthy of all acceptance, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners, of whom I am the worst. But I received mercy for this reason, that in me, first, Jesus Christ might show all patience, as an example to those who were to believe in Him for eternal life.”1 Timothy 1:15-16 MEV
Paul says he is the worst of sinners. Jesus came into this world to save, but to also show mercy and patience so those that are going to believe will see MERCY and PATIENCE lived out in us and come to Christ.
Nobody’s perfect…the greatest hangup some may have is the fact that we serve a perfect God, but we are imperfect people. He died for the messed up and jacked up and he continually shows patience to those that are on the journey of faith, so that those that are about to be on the journey can have HOPE!
Lord help us to embrace grace and understand patience…so that others can see our lives and desire to follow Jesus and not follow us.
“For you, O Lord, have made me glad through Your work; I will sing joyfully at the works of Your hands.”
Psalms 92:4 MEV
“You thrill me, LORD, with all you have done for me! I sing for joy because of what you have done.”
Psalms 92:4 NLT
God never ceases to amaze us in all he has done and continues to do in us. I am astounded and amazed at the grace and mercy of God. I see my family and the work I get to do and I am so amazed at what God is doing. God is up to something, and we need to see with His eyes what he’s doing. It’s so easy to get distracted and focus on the issues of life. There are so many issues. But, what if we choose to have JOY! Real Joy! I see Joy as a natural response to what God has already done for us, and what he is in the process of doing. We can either focus on what we think is missing, or choose to live in Joy because of who he is! Don’t lose your joy!
Lord help me to never lose the joy of your salvation, help me to never lose my sight of what you are truly doing. You are up to some great things in my life. I don’t want to miss anything you are doing. Lord I know you will leave me amazed at what your hand is doing. Today is a great day to sing a new song filled with Joy. Don’t lose your Joy today!
